TV broadcasting in Germany

The German market for television broadcasting has grown 5.1% since 2000 to reach a gross value of Euro 8.6 billion (US.1 billion) in 2000. Over the five year review period, the market grew by 42.4% in value terms. The trade association Gesellschaft fur Unterhaltungs und Kommunikationselektronik (gfu) estimates the number of TV sets to about 56 Million.
